Phyllis M. Friedrichs, 95, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born August 26,1929, in Sheboygan to the late Albert and Florence (Stecker) Neese. Phyllis graduated from Sheboygan Central High School.
On May 24, 1958, she was united in marriage to Dennis Friedrichs. Together they celebrated 25 years. Dennis preceded her in death on November 24, 1983.
In her younger years Phyllis worked as a secretary for Dr. Buckhausen. She then transitioned into her most important and enjoyable role as a mother, raising her two daughters Aimee and Zoe. She took great pride in her family and was always there for them. Once the girls graduated from High School, Phyllis went to work for Friedes a Women’s Clothing Store. With her love of chatting and shopping Phyllis had found her ideal job.
Family and friends were important to Phyllis. She looked forward to her shopping trips and lunch dates with her dearest friends. In her younger years she was an avid golfer, but one of her passions was traveling and taking vacations with Dennis where they created many cherished memories. Some of her favorite memories were made on Pigeon Lake, cruising around on her pontoon boat and drinking Manhattans with her family and friends. Phyllis had an energy that would light up a room. She made friends wherever she went, loving to talk with people, she always made them feel comfortable and welcome.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters Aimee (Randy) Steinbruecker and Zoe (John) Rohde, her grandchildren, Deylin Steinbruecker, John (special friend Katie Turner) Rohde Jr. and James Rohde. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Martha, good friend Jim Martin and dear shopping and luncheon friends Judy Lemp, Dar Mech and Ellen Mary Trout.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be given to Sheboygan Senior Community in Phyllis’s memory. Phyllis enjoyed attending all the wonderful programs they had to offer.
A private family service will take place.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for all their care, compassion and support.

Aimee and Zoe, I want to express my sincere sympathy at the loss of your mom. Your mom had a zest for life and lit up everyone. Together with your dad, they were an unbeatable pair that brought joy to everyone they met. May God grant you both an abundance of joy, peace, and mercy now and always. May you also find comfort in the knowledge that along with your mom and dad, you will be reunited again in heaven. May her zest for life live in you both always.
