Raymond Skelton was born on August 10, 1928 and passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 95. He was united in marriage with Angela Raml in 1954 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Raymond served his country in the United States Army from 1948 until 1952. During his working years, he was employed by the Sheboygan Parks Department until his retirement in 1990. He then volunteered at Holy Cross Cemetery helping maintain the grounds. Raymond enjoyed camping, his cards club, woodworking, hunting, fishing, working in his workshop, the occasional trip to the casino and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by daughter, Dianne Kraft; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) Herman, Nicole (Mike) Rusche, Roxanne Kraft (Anthony Flores); great-grandchildren, Lydia, Miles, Sophia and Anthony; siblings, Rosemary Ish, Jim (Lorry) Skelton, Joanne Wirth and Robert (Karen) Skelton; sisters-in-law, Francis Kellner and Marge Skelton and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Angela; parents, John and Genevieve Skelton; brother, Norbert Skelton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Raymond’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care of Raymond.
