Richard “Dick” Holler

Richard “Dick” Holler, age 85 of Sheboygan Falls passed away with his family by his side on Monday, December 30, 2019. Dick was born September 2, 1934 in Sheboygan to the late David and Augusta (Taubenheim) Holler. He attended Sheboygan schools and graduated from Central High School in 1952. The then attended and graduated from technical college in Milwaukee. Following graduation he married Sandra Grams who preceded him in death. On January 25, 1986 he married Janet Baumann at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Dick was a longtime member and usher of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years.
Dick owned and operated the Holler Oil Company and motorcycle sales and service shop with his late brother Arden, until 1978. From 1978 until 1999 he was the Sexton of Lutheran Cemetery. Dick had a passion for shooting sports, was a lifetime member of the NRA, member of the Sheboygan Rifle and Pistol Club, Farmers and Sportsman Club from which he just received a Lifetime Achievement Award. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting – especially deer hunting and the camaraderie and time spent with family and friends. Dick was always up for a good joke or story.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Janet, children, Randall (Mary) Holler of Sheboygan, Pamela (Harold) Carpenter of Plymouth, Laurie (Dave) Reuter of Sheboygan, Michael (Kim) Holler Sheboygan and Michelle (Craig) Weinkoetz of Plymouth; grandchildren, Matthew (Alyssa) Holler of Howards Grove, Benjamin Holler of Sheboygan, James (Stephanie) Carpenter of Colorado, Nicole (Matthew) Steinhardt of Plymouth, Jennifer (Leon) Yelle of Plymouth, Kyle (fiancé Christina) Reuter of Manitowoc, Jacob (Ashley) Reuter of Milwaukee, Natalie (special friend Lukas) Reuter of Sun Prairie, Eric (Amanda) Holler of Cleveland, Ashley Holler of Plymouth, Ryan (Katie) Weinkoetz of Kiel and Samantha Weinkoetz of Plymouth; great-grandchildren, James and Olivia Holler, Andrew, Jacob and Emma Steinhardt, Ethan Yelle, Bailey, Lily and Claira Carpenter, Leo Reuter, Addison, Aiden, and Austin Holler, Kaedence and Evan Weinkoetz, brother Robert Holler and sister Patricia Smith. Dick was further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Donald Baumann of Plymouth, George (Rosemary) Baumann of Waupun, Alice (Allen) Stader of Plymouth and Linda (John) Fischer of Plymouth. Dick was also survived by nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice (Otto) Benke, brother Arden (Doris and Carol) Holler, sister-in-law Nancy Holler, brother-in-law Robert Smith, father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Marion Baumann and a sister-in-law Janet Baumann.
Family and friends may gather at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave. Sheboygan on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Patrick Niles will officiate. Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Bethlehem Lutheran Church and for the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
