Richard Eddy was born on December 13, 1937 and passed away on October 1, 2022 at the age of 84. He attended local schools and graduated early from Sheboygan Central High School with a scholarship from the Ford Foundation as a sophomore. He then continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Madison. During his working years, he worked as an insurance underwriter, a custodian within the Sheboygan Area School District and was employed by Tietz’s Piggly Wiggly for 24 years. Richard was a member at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and was very active in their choir for 20 years. He enjoyed hiking, traveling, Bridge tournaments, participating in the Sheboygan Symphony for many years and attending Milwaukee Symphony Concerts.
Richard is survived by his children, Thomas Eddy (Cheryl), Cathy Huber, John Eddy and Laura (Michael) Cavosi; grandchildren, Raina Eddy (Ben), Alec Huber, Meredith Huber (Kyle Eklund), Joseph Huber, Bryan Eddy (Terri), Jennifer Eddy, Max Resch, Matthew (Jessica) Eddy, Nick Cavosi and Megan Cavosi; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Aria, Damian, Charlotte and Alaina and siblings, John Eddy (Ginny) and Rosemary (Darryl) King. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Rose Eddy and former spouse, Barbara Eddy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter Claver Catholic Church are appreciated.
