Robert “Bob” J. Steinbruecker

Robert “Bob” J. Steinbruecker, age 80, of Sheboygan, passed away at home on Monday, July 31, 2023, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Sheboygan on August 12, 1942, the son of the late Edward and Lorraine Landgraf Steinbruecker.
Bob attended St. Dominic Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1960. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, serving his country during the Bay of Pigs on the U.S.S. Cony. He then graduated from Lakeshore Technical College. On June 21, 1980, he was united in marriage to Sandra Van Stelle.
He was employed at Kohler Company, Optenburg, Hayssen Manufacturing, Jifram, American Orthodontics, Harbor Freight, Prigge’s Bus Service, and Hydraulic Tools. Bob then was the owner operator of BJ’s Shooter Supply & Repair until his retirement in 2010.
Bob was a constable for the Town of Wilson, a member of the HOG (Harley Owners Group) Sheboygan Chapter, VFW Post 9156, an NRA member, and a past member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
Bob enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, riding motorcycles, campfires in the backyard, riding and spending time with his HOG family. He also was a Brewers, Packers, and Bucks fan, and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, and was a dog lover as well.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy of Sheboygan; three children, Lyn (Nic) York, of Sheboygan, Carmen (Matthew) Arndt, of Plymouth, and Paul Steinbruecker, of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Roger (Olivia Castruita) Fischer IV, Ethan York, Chantel (Ryan) Dixon, Justin (Bryanna) Arndt, Cassandra (Murad Alhakimi) Arndt; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kyra, Kenley, Kaden, Crew, Carter, Everett, and Ariyah; brothers, Rick Steinbruecker, of Canyon Country, CA, Randy (Aimee) Steinbruecker, of Sheboygan, sister-in-law, Deb (Al) Den Boer, of Dunbar; sister-in-law, Dawn Van Stelle; a brother-in-law, David Van Stelle, both of Oostburg; and his three nephews, Deylin Steinbruecker, of Sheboygan, Brian (Daniela) Den Boer, of Dunbar, and Joel (Krista) Den Boer, of Plymouth. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his in-laws, Ray and Audrey Van Stelle.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Bob’s name may be directed to VFW Post 9156 or Pink Heals Sheboygan County.
