Robert Charles Hahn, long time resident of Sheboygan, died on September 24, 2025 at Pine Haven Christian Community’s Faith Home in Sheboygan Falls. He was 94 years old. Robert was born on May 1, 1931, in West Sweden, Wisconsin. He was the son of Albert and Esther (Jensen) Hahn. He married Ruth Bartman on May 6, 1961, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
He attended Frederic Grade School and graduated from Frederic High School as Salutatorian in 1949. Robert continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Madison for another 7 years where he earned both Bachelor of Arts and Law degrees. After college, Bob was drafted into the Army during the Korean War where he served in the JAG Corps.
Robert worked for Heritage Insurance Company for 21 years where he held the position of Assistant Vice President of Claims. Upon leaving Heritage, Bob opened and owned his own business, Holden and Hahn SC in Sheboygan. He retired from the firm in 2007. He was an attorney for over 50 years and a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association. Robert was also a member of Sheboygan County Bar Association, Toastmasters and Sheboygan Early Bird Rotary.
Bob loved to read and listen to music, but he also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and remodeling. With his wife, Ruth, they purchased homes to renovate. This included his law office in Sheboygan. Bob used his skills to build a home in Sheboygan and also a lake home in Pickerel, Wisconsin. After retirement, Bob and Ruth moved to Lily Lake near Pickerel and spent many happy years there fishing, gardening and sharing their home with family members and friends.
Robert was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. When he moved north, he joined Arbutus Lutheran Church in Pearson, Wisconsin, where he served as Congregational President and Financial Secretary.
Robert is survived by Ruth, his wife of 64 years; son, Richard (Dou May) of Sheboygan; daughter, Lynn (Gerald) Miller of Annapolis, Maryland; grandchildren, Michael (Leah) Miller, Rebekah (Chris) Stout, Rose Hahn, Charles Hahn, Raymon Hahn, Josephine Lee, Ricardo Lee; great-grandchildren, Asha Miller, Cora Stout; niece, Delores Bjerke.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a son, Larry Hahn; sister, Leora Van Sickle; brother-in-law, Arthur Van Sickle; nephews, Douglas and William Van Sickle; nephew-in-law, Steven Bjerke.
A funeral will be held at Arbutus Lutheran Church and Cemetery, Pearson, Wisconsin on October 25, 2025 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sheboygan or Arbutus Lutheran Church, Pearson, WI.
