Robert Louis “Bob” Levezow passed away on February 21, 2025, after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Sheboygan, WI, on June 3, 1951, minutes after his twin brother, William Lewis ‘Bill’ Levezow, to Anna Marie (Hayward) and Howard John Levezow.
Bob grew up in Sheboygan, attending Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic School and South High School, where he was recognized as “Most Humorous” in his senior year. He was active in theater and clowning during his school days, and he and Bill both earned the rank of Eagle Scout as young men. Bob graduated from U.W. Stevens Point with a degree in Communications.
On November 28, 1980, Bob married Gretchen Marie Stein, and they welcomed their daughter, Meara Leigh, on November 21, 1981. He worked as the circulation manager of the Sheboygan Press for 20 years, followed by another 20 years as a sales representative for RCS.
Bob enjoyed playing the accordion, bowling, golfing, gardening, and hosting backyard gatherings. He had a deep love for poetry and some of his favorite times were spent singing around the piano with Gretchen and her family, especially his mother-in-law, Eileen ‘Irish O’Leary’ Stein, a Milwaukee lounge singer and entertainer. Above all, his greatest pride was his daughter, Meara. Later in life, he was blessed to welcome her wife, Ro, into the family as his beloved daughter-in-law.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gretchen; their daughter, Meara; and daughter-in-law, Ro. He is also survived by his sister, Christina Zawatzke; sisters-in-law Shelia Levezow, Stephanie Sue Stein, Christine Siekierski, Heidi Bourne, Lorelei Stein, and Mary Stein; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his twin brother and best friend, Bill; older brother, John; his parents; parents-in-law, Art and Eileen ‘Irish O’Leary’ Stein; and cherished in-laws, John, Nancy, Tommy, and Jim Stein, Melanie Lindseth and Levi Klick.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, followed by a short remembrance service from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Todd, Kathy, Stacy, Lisa, and all the nurses and aides from Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassionate care during Bob’s final months.

My thoughts and prayers to the family. I hadn't been in touch with Bob (and Gretchen) for a long time (the George's West Side days), but Bob always helped me to put a smile on.
