Robert T. “Bob” Trester

Robert T. “Bob” Trester, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Robert was born to John and Caroline Trester on August 3, 1946 in Sheboygan. He graduated from Sheboygan North High School and continued his education at the UW-Sheboygan Extension. Robert was stationed out of New London, CT Naval Base where he was also united in marriage to Rosemarie Fioto on June 29, 1968. He served his beloved country throughout the Vietnam War on a submarine as a Radioman. He received a service ribbon for his dutiful service. In Sheboygan, he owned and operated his own TV Repair business as well as painted signs. Most of all, Bob was a loving husband, a terrific dad and somebody that everybody loved. He was a member of the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association and a proud member of the NRA.
Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years and caregiver, Rosemarie Trester; children, Catherine (Michael) Zyniecki, Andrea Kuszewski, Anthony (Trish) Trester, Leah (Travis) Ridenour, Robert Trester Jr., William Trester, Patrick (Michelle) Trester and Maria Trester; grandchildren, Jacob Greene, Brianna Greene, Sofia Zyniecki, Michael Zyniecki, Claire Zyniecki, Anthony Trester Jr., Ashton Trester, Oliver Trester, Fredrik Trester; mother, Caroline Trester; siblings, Mary (Walter) Grasse, John (Karen) Trester, Joseph (Maribeth) Trester, Joanna (Tom) Tripp, Thomas (Diane) Trester and Helen (Glenn) Powers.
He is preceded in death by his father and sister Phyliss (Brent) Timm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave., Sheboygan, with Fr. Norberto Sandoval officiating. A visitation will take place at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery with military honors will follow. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the healthcare workers who were involved in Robert’s care.
