I could count my favorite teachers on one hand and he was one of them. Always incredibly kind. It was always nice to regularly see him at the Yacht Club many years later. My condolences to his wife and family.

Bob was my roommate at NMU as well as a good friend as I was from Bessemer and he was from Wakefield MI we were opponents in High School but best of friends in College as well as teammates in football. Bob was liked by everyone and a friend to everyone with that great smile. He and Nancy attended our wedding in Chicago where he was the guest of honor and someone that everyone wanted to be with and call a friend. We would get together in Bessemer to celebrate 4th of July when ever we were both in town to catch up and reminisce. Bob will be missed but not forgotten .

Mr. Erickson was my tennis coach during my time at South High. He was so kind and patient with us girls and really helped us be our best. He treated everyone with kindness and support, but with a competitive spirit. He encouraged us to play hard and was fun when we “only cheated ourselves out of laps” . I was deeply saddened to hear about his death and hope that he enjoyed his time with family, friends, and fur babies during retirement. He will be missed and remembered by many that he taught and coached.
