Ronald M. “Ron” Jackett, 74, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. Ron was born to the late Vernon Sr. and Mary (Desmond) Jackett on January 8, 1948 in Sheboygan. He graduated from Sheboygan Area Schools in 1966 and began working at R-Way until he was drafted into the Army in 1967. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969 and he went back to work for R-Way until his early retirement in 1995. Ron was a devout Catholic and had a love for animals, especially cats. He also was an avid collector of televisions and comics. He was often found enjoying his shows, Westerns and Star Trek. He was a generous man and a gentle soul and will be missed by all those that knew him.
Ron is survived by his brother, Vernon Jr. (Elsie) Jackett and nephews, Sean and Shane Jackett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy Jackett.
There will be a funeral service held for Ron at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place following the service at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW 9156.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Sheboygan County in Ron’s name.
