Russell D. Thomas II, age 68, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, November 25, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 16, 1956, the son of the late Russell and Shirley White Thomas I.
Russell attended local schools in Milwaukee and graduated from Custer High School. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Russell was employed at ACE Products and at Johnson Controls as a supervisor in the warehouse. Russell was united in marriage to Irene Carey in 1994.
He enjoyed reading and was a huge Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Russell was an avid music lover and went to many concerts. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Thomas, of Sheboygan; four children, Brandy (Curt) Thomas, of Sheboygan, Heather (Steven) Rhode, of Neenah, Michael Carey, and Russell (Ashley) Thomas III, of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Trent, Danielle, Arianna, Alivia, Russell D. Thomas IV (R.J.), Rylan, and Roman; two brothers, Gary (Terri) Leineweber, of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Raymond D. (Brenda) Thomas, of Hartford, WI. Russell is also survived nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, a stepfather, Francis Allard, brother, Richard D. Thomas I, and his nephew, Ryan D. Thomas.
A celebration of life for Russell will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Sandee’s Bar, 1202 Michigan Avenue, Sheboygan. Memorial contributions in Russell’s name can be sent to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org
