Sandra Ann (Voss) Kaiser, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 6.

She was born in Sheboygan on April 16, 1937. Her parents were Cecilia (Stapel) and Lloyd Voss. She attended Sheboygan Central High School.

She was passionate about serving others. She worked various jobs in the Sheboygan area during her life, but her favorite was serving as a housekeeper at St. Nicholas Hospital. Later in life she served the community as a foster grandparent at Longfellow School for many years, where she was known as “Grandma Sandy.” An avid reader, she greatly enjoyed mysteries and thrillers and she passed that love along to all her children. After retiring from Longfellow, she adopted elderly cats from the Sheboygan Humane Society and provided them with a loving home.

She is survived by five children: Kelli Kaiser of Slinger, Cindi (Ken) Mihm of Sheboygan, Kace (Mary) Kaiser of Waterford, Hayley (Dave) Burkart of Sheboygan, and Heather Kaiser of Sheboygan Falls. Her eleven grandchildren are Lili (Zach Warren) Behm of Stoughton, Josh (Kaurie) Mihm of De Pere, Jake Mihm of Sheboygan, Holly Mihm of Loveland, CO, Christopher (Katherine) Kaiser of Minneapolis, Alex Kaiser of Milwaukee, Elizabeth Kaiser of Middleton, Kimberley (Matthew) Bayer of Milwaukee, Natalie (Brad) Wright of Cincinnati, Jack (Kristin) Burkart of Great Barrington, MA, and Luke (Ellen) Burkart of Madison. There are thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Family and friends may gather for fellowship at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Longfellow Elementary School in her name, or to the Sheboygan Humane Society.
