Shirley Ann Hoffmann, age 89, of Sheboygan, was peacefully called to her heavenly home on January 9th, 2026 surrounded by a lifetime of love she so generously gave to others.
Shirley was born on August 11, 1936 to the late Frank and Anna Brunette. A proud graduate of Central High School, class of 1954, she followed her calling into the healthcare by attending a hospital based program in Illinois to become an X-ray technologist. Her compassion, dedication, and strong work ethic were evident throughout her career, including many years of service at Lake to Lake.
On July 7th, 1956 Shirley married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Roger Hoffmann. Their marriage of 64 years was built on deep love, devotion, and partnership. Together they built their family in Tempe, Arizona, where they lived for 6 years and welcomed their first daughter, Vicki. In 1962, they returned to Sheboygan, and in 1964 they welcomed their second daughter, Tori, continuing to build a life centered around family and home.
Shirley’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, a proud and loving grandmother, and a cherished sister, aunt, and cousin.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters, Vicki (Rick) Haynes and Tori (Tom) Skrzypchak; her grandsons, Steven Haynes, and Brian (Sarah) Haynes; her sister, Sandy (Thomas) Heckner; her sister-in-law, Sue (Stolzmann) Hoffmann; her brother-in-law, Robert Bubnes; and many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Lori (David) Torrison, Bradley (Donna) Bubnes, Gary (Barbara) Bubnes, Kimberly (Robert) Kuehl, and Tiffany (Terry) Small.
Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Hoffmann, her parents, her brother-in-law, Ray E. Hoffmann, her sister-in-law, Roxanne Bubnes, and her nephew, Ross Hoffmann.
Shirley found happiness in life’s simple pleasures-reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles, and sharing laughter during frequent casino outings with her daughter, Tori. Her kindness, quiet strength, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the compassionate and dignified care provided to Shirley during her final days. The kindness, patience, and comfort shown by the staff brought peace not only to Shirley, but to the family as well. The family also wishes to sincerely thank the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center for their exceptional care, support, and compassion throughout Shirley’s journey. Their dedication will always be remembered with heartfelt appreciation.
In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, no services will be held. She will be lovingly remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the kindness she shared so freely with others.
