Stash passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, June 16th. Stash was born in Sheboygan WI, on April 8, 1960, to the late Stanley and Angela Petek. He was the youngest of four children and their only son. He grew up in Sheboygan and graduated from South High School. He dedicated his life to his family, friends and Petek’s Tavern; a legacy passed down from his father and has been in the family for three generations. Stash (“Schnookie-butz”) married the love of his life, Denise on November 14, 1992 and welcomed their youngest daughter, Chelsie the following year. The family enjoyed trips to Florida, camping up north and fishing trips; Stash loved his family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by his people. He loved joking and going out, playing darts and peek dice, and watching sports (go Cubs!). Stash had such a big heart and was loved by everyone who met him. He was always good for a razz, a funny nickname and a laugh but also safe place to land if you needed him. We are all so thankful to have him in our lives and he will be greatly missed by so many. Until we meet again, Na zdravje!

Stash is survived by his loving wife, Denise and daughters: Chelsie (Adam) Kollmann, Jeanie (Jason) Angel and Jackie (Paul) Novak; five grandchildren, Dimitri, Colton, Rory, Tommy, and Parker; his sisters, Sandy (Dennis) Brunnbauer, Sharron Reinke, and Susie Parins and his best-dog buddy Tater; many nieces and nephews, along with friends too numerous to count. Stash is preceded in death by his mother, Angela; father, Stanley; brother-in-law, Brad Parins. His beloved dogs, Cinder and Jewel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson and all the doctors and nurses for the excellent care, compassion, support and love we felt from each and every person who we worked with; we could not have done this without all of you.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Sharon S. Richardson. A celebration of Stash’s life is being planned and details will be shared when available.

Stashy, [he called me Lonnie] had such an impact on so many customers/friends, our neighborhood, and the community. He was extremely cheerful, giving, friendly and loved telling me about his family too. I enjoyed being his neighbor for 22 years, and will miss him. May God wrap His loving arms around ĥis family and comfort all of them♡

stash was a great kid. I know him when he was our neighbor. My fondest memory of him was when he help get my son Todd to the doctor after he smashed his finger in the screen door.
