Steven D. Griggel, age 70, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1951, to the late Donald and Mary Miller Griggel in Beaver Dam, WI.
Steve lived life to the fullest in his younger years. He loved hunting, fishing, trap shooting, carpentry, camping, cutting wood and anything outdoors. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandpa. Steve was a kind and loving man and everyone who knew him, loved him. If you needed a hand with anything, Steve was your guy. After a spinal cord injury in 1996 sidelined him, he managed to find his smile again. Steve was an inspiration to his family and found many ways to remain a positive influence in our lives.
He is survived by his wife, Angie; children, Andy (Anna) Griggel, Adam (Amy) Griggel, Jennifer Griggel; grandson, Lincoln Griggel and “bonus granddaughters”, Izzy and Gracie Lorentz; his sister, Cindy (Dave) Delozier; sisters-in-law, Carrie Gerretson, Pam Martinek, Suze (Bob) Garrity; brothers-in-law, Marty (Jill) Weiske, Scott (Lynn) Fuller and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
His parents, Don and Mitzi Griggel, in-laws, Ken and Marcie Weiske, Ralph and Betty Fuller, his first wife, Sherry Griggel and his brothers-in-law, Paul Weiske and Jim Martinek, all preceded him death.
Steve was not a fan of big funerals. Per his wishes, a cremation will take place followed by a private family service.
We will miss Steve fiercely and honor him by living life fully, knowing we will see him again. Godspeed Steve, you will always be loved.

Know that he will be in your hearts and you in his forever. I remember him being an involved and interested dad when I taught you in kindergarten at Jackson School.

I just found out about Steve‘s passing and I am sad to hear that he has gone without being able to see him at least one more time. I was a classmate and friend of his from Wayland Academy in Beaverdam Wisconsin. I only met his family once after his accident but have thought about him over the years on occasions when our class reunion was being held. He was in our thoughts and prayers. With God’s blessings we will meet again in heaven with perfectly restored bodies.

So sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Enjoyed working with him at WP&L. He was a kind, humorous, friendly guy who will be missed. My sympathies to Angie and the family. Sending prayers of healing and hoping that your happy memories of him can help comfort you through a difficult time.
Steve aka Floater was a brother . He belonged to our family as well as his own. We grew up together and I will have a hole in my heart forever. Words cannot express the gravity of his passing and I hope someday we will shoot pool together again.. Rest in Peace my friend!

Lot of Wednesday visit and talks missed since move to AZ. We always tried to keep up and deal with our challenges …… can’t believe close to 20 years of snow and sun on deck……. You were unreal in keeping it all together……
