Steve McCarthy was born on November 25, 1965 and passed away on March 27, 2022 at the age of 56. He attended local schools including Sheboygan North High School and shortly after joined and served in the United States Army from 1984 until 1993. During his working years he worked at various factories in the Sheboygan area. Steve was involved in many bands and enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his scooter with his mom and friends, fishing, kayaking, camping, riding his bike, making Army models and working on small engine repairs.
Steve is survived by his mother, Linda Meyer (Charles Falk); son, Adrian Christman; sister, Dawn (Michael) Marver; niece, Megan Marver (fiancé Nathan Tietz) and nephew, Brett Marver (fiancé Rebecca Krueger). He is further survived by cousins and many friends. Steve is preceded by his father, Patrick McCarthy; grandparents, Jim (Gladys) McCarthy and Leo (Florence) Hinz; uncle, Leo Twa; aunt, Lois (Robert) Harrison and the love of his life, Stacey Braatz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Steve’s name.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and special friend, Teri Wagner for their care of Steve.
