Therese Rae Berg, age 65, of Sheboygan, passed unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born in Sheboygan on December 3, 1958, to the late Raymond and Jeanette Piaskowski Lane.

Therese attended Holy Name Catholic School and then graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1977. She went to College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL, acquiring her Associates Degree in accounting. On August 3, 1996, Therese Lane united in marriage with Bill Berg at Fountain Park UMC in Sheboygan.

She started her accounting career at E.A. Cox in Chicago, then at Hathaway Marketing in Mequon. Therese also worked for Rainbow Kids in Sheboygan, was a realtor for Diamond Realty, and the owner and operator of B&T Sales. At the time of her passing she was the General Office Manager at Trilling Hardware.

Therese was a current member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was a Sunday school teacher there for several years. In her earlier years she was a member and instructor of the Buccaneers Color Guard in Sheboygan. Therese enjoyed reading, baking, jet skiing, spending time up north, and relaxing in the hot tub. She loved spending time with her sisters, family, and friends. Therese especially enjoyed baking cookies with her granddaughters.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; her son, Jeremy (fiancée Emily Rudolph) Berg; a step-son, Patrick (girlfriend Tanya Bissell) Berg; step-daughter, Holly Berg; six grandchildren, Leilani and Audrianna Wehmayer-Berg, Alessia and Deim Bissell, Anastasia and Maxwell Tominsek; her seven siblings, Karen (Dave) Ward, Mary (Dennis) Grapentine, Dave (Lois) Lane, Thomas (Jodie) Lane, Jacqueline Lillesand, Sara (Thomas) Rogers, and Steven (Bethany) Lane. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Therese was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Lenny Toston, and a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Lillesand.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Therese will be celebrated on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave.Sheboygan with Fr. Nick Baumgardner officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Therese’s name.

A heart felt thank you is extended to the Sheboygan County Dispatch and Sherriffs office, Town of Sheboygan Rescue, St. Nicholas Hospital, and the angels at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for the compassion and care that was given to Therese and family.
