Thomas J. Hodzinski, 60, of Sheboygan, passed away late Thursday evening November 11, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Tom was born September 28, 1961 in Sheboygan to the late John and Sylvia (Schmidt) Hodzinski. He attended St. Peter Claver School and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. He furthered his education at Marquette University and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Tom had several engineering jobs in the technology field over his career. He was a highly intelligent person and was instrumental in many technological advancements including the development of picture-in-picture when he worked at Zenith. His most recent work was as a Quality Control Engineer at Bemis before his illness. Tom was a car enthusiast, enjoyed watching and investing in the global stock markets and sponsored children in third world countries. If you knew Tom, you knew he had a dry and sarcastic sense of humor and people really enjoyed his company. Tom was proud to have been able to take special care of his mother near the end of her life.
Tom is survived by his siblings Barbara (Jack) Leonhardt, John (friend Thusuong), Michael, and Laura (Lyn) Nudd; nieces and nephews Tanya (Shawn) Goad, Ryan (Jennifer) Hodzinski, Jason (Melissa) Hodzinski and Kristin (William) Turney (Goddaughter); great- nieces and nephews Tyler (Godson), Aspen, Helena, Aria, Nevin, Ethan, Levi, Leah and Caleb.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. There will be a time for visitation at church prior to Mass from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be expressed online at www.reinboldfh.com. Memorials can be designated to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or to St. Peter Claver Catholic Church.
The family would like to express their thanks to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and a special thank you to Tom’s brother, John, for being there for Tom and taking care of him at the end… or as Tom said “Thank God for Stringbean.” Tom, your family loved you.
