Tim Menzer of Sheboygan, age 56, passed away on Friday, August 4, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, surrounded by his wife, mother, son, and daughter, who had lovingly supported him and each other in his six-month relentless struggle with cancer. Tim was valiant to the end, doing his best to comfort them, despite his own suffering.
Tim was born in Green Bay on February 23rd, 1967. He and his 6- and 4-year-old brothers lost their father Myron Bader to cancer when Tim was 3 years old. He later moved to Sheboygan, where he was adopted by Bob Menzer. He lost a step-father, Ron Herr, to cancer in 2002. He is survived by his wife Kelly; his son Matthew (Jennifer); daughter Amber (Curtis Kinch); his mother Donna Menzer (Jim Schultz); brothers Brian (Julie) of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Rod (Linda) of Sheboygan; young grandsons Houston, Curtis Jr. and Cooper Timothy; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim and his family were passionate about Matthew’s motocross racing, spending weekends traveling all over the country. Not only was he viewed as the best “moto dad”, but also as the best “girl dad”, cooking their favorite meals and braiding “Peanut’s” (Amber’s) hair. Tim was also a Mopar enthusiast, beginning with his 1970 Dodge Challenger at age 15 and culminating with his custom ordered 2020 Dodge Challenger to relive his childhood.
Tim and Kelly first met when they were 12 and 11 years old while camping with their families at Hoeft’s resort on Crooked Lake west of Sheboygan. They dated in high school years and reconnected years later and were married on his birthday, February 23, 2002. Tim joked that he chose the date so he wouldn’t forget his anniversary. Tim and Kelly enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV and more recently spending their summers at Crooked Lake, where friends will remember Tim biking and walking their dog, Dolly. They also enjoyed taking breaks from the cold Wisconsin winters at Oak Park (Alva, FL) and the beaches of Southwest Florida.
Tim worked for many years for Dulmes Décor and later established his own flooring business, displaying an uncommon work ethic, resulting in being called upon to do some of the most demanding specialized jobs by Dulmes Décor. He was much loved and will be sorely missed by his family and his friends, many who viewed him as a father figure. His contagious laugh and beaming smile will never be forgotten.
The family extends its gratitude to Dr. Bettag and his staff at the Cancer Center of Sheboygan as well as the medical specialty teams and nursing staff at Froedtert Hospital for the dedicated care they provided. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
Dear Kelly and family, our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. Tim was a great friend for many years. He will be greatly missed. Walt and Carol Rokicki

Heartfelt prayers and my deepest condolences to Kelly and all of Tim's family and friends. I cannot fathom the loss. I remember Kelly having the greatest crush on Tim throughout high school and was thrilled when I learned they finally got married. I'm so very sorry he was taken from you so soon, Kel. May every blessing come your way as you grieve this terrible loss.
My deepest sympathies to Tim's whole family, to his wife and children, his mother and brothers. While I haven't seen Tim since I was a kid, I have many summer camping memories as well as our two families going house boating together many times. I'm so saddened by his passing and am thinking of his family and praying for them all.
