Wayne “Jim” Wenske

Wayne “Jim” Wenske, age 82, of Sheboygan, died on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was born in Chicago, IL, on February 3, 1941, the son of the late Henry and Christine Brezinski Wenske.
Wayne attended high school at St. Thomas Military Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Lakeland College in Sheboygan. On June 24, 1967, he was united in marriage to Judy Nenahlo.
He was employed as a chemist at Kohler Company, retiring in 2007. He then did tours for Kohler before being greeter at the Kohler Design Center. Wayne also enjoyed working at Road America for many years. He belonged to many organizations which include the Deputy Sheriffs Organization, Knights of Columbus, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Wayne also loved to spend time at the family cottage on Lake Poygan.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; two sons, David, and Marc (Kerri) Wenske; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Alyssa, and Emma. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Wayne will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave. Sheboygan, with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Wayne’s name. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the compassion and care given to Wayne.
