William “Bill” the King Wilson, age 64, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center from Corona Virus complications with his wife at his side. “The King” was born on November 16, 1956, the son of the late Edward and Carita Schmeichel Wilson.
He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1975. On April 12, 1980 he was united in marriage to Linda Lohr at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. He was employed at Thomas Industries for 26 years in the Shipping Department.
Bill was an avid softball player and played all around Wisconsin, but usually at Wildwood Softball Park. Throughout his years of playing, he acquired many MVP awards at tournaments, and he was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 2004.
He enjoyed playing cards and drinking old fashions with extra olives. Bill loved watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and he collected bobbleheads and other sports memorabilia. He was a great father who loved his children & dog dearly. Bill is probably playing poker up in heaven right now.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda; children, Eric Wilson and Emily Wilson; two sisters, Kathy (Richard) Nack and Jan (Robert) Keppert; three brothers, Eddie Wilson, Dan Wilson and Dave (Pam) Wilson; a father-in-law, Don (Barb) Lohr; sister-in-law, Susie (Scott) Senkbeil and a brother-in-law, Robert Lohr. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a mother-in-law, Jan Lohr.
A celebration of life for Bill will held sometime in the spring of 2021.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for the compassion, care and support that was given to Bill.
The Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reinboldfh.com
