William G. Becker, age 76, of Sheboygan, died on Friday, June 28, 2024, at North Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in Manitowoc. He was born in Sheboygan on April 23, 1948, the son of the late Robert and Angeline Serketich Becker.
Bill attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines, serving his country from 1966 to 1969. On October 14, 1972, he was united in marriage to Sue Ann Evelyn Wisnowski at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Bill was employed at the Kohler Company Engine Plant for 40 years, retiring in 2010. He was a lifelong member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He had a passion for bicycling, going to karaoke, and hosting karaoke parties at the house. Bill also loved life, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sue, of Sheboygan; three children, Alicia Franck, of Sheboygan, Derek Becker (Tracy Hubbard), of Waunakee, and Kelly (Eathan) Berdyck, of Richfield; grandchildren, Kayla Becker, Josh (Kayla) Becker, Austin Franck, Alexander Berdyck, Henry Berdyck, Taylor (Hunter) Smull, Maja and Ana Smull; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Kaiya Lee; a brother, Don (Lynn) Becker, of Las Vegas; and his two sisters, Ann (Tom) Post, of Sheboygan, Therese (Gordon) Gruenke, of Sheboygan Falls. Bill was also survived by his grand dogs, Willa Bee, Ace, and Ava. Many other relatives and friends further survive. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and grand dogs, Miss Molly, Chloe, Dolce, Annie, and Tucker.
A funeral service for Bill will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Father Nick Baumgardner officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. V.F.W Post 9156 will providing full military honors.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Froedtert Hospital, Green Bay Rehabilitation Hospital, and North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation for the compassion and care that was given to Bill. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bill’s name.
