Xai Yang, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. She was born on May 7, 1945 in a small village near the border of Vietnam and Laos. Xai was preceded in death by her parents, Vue Yang and Ia Vang and was adopted by an uncle as a young child. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nhia Xiong Vue.
Xai is survived by seven children: Vang Vue (Yang), Chao Vue, Molly Khang (Lee), Katie Chang (Charzong), Carol Khang (Nhia), Larry Vue (Zoua), and Mai Yang Khang (Chuyee). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Mai Mor Sutton (Jake), Elijah, Joseph (Kayla), Shanna, Esme, Naomi, Ishi, Sakura, Nathaniel, Brooklyn, Selah, Aaliyah, and Chloe and two great-grandchildren: Emmett and Payton.
Xai enjoyed spending time and being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a faithful follower of the Lord, prayed daily for her loved ones and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.
Visitations and service will be held from 8:00am-12:00pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home. Afternoon service will be held at the Hmong Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan, WI at 2:00pm with burial to follow afterwards.
